This is a Landfront location.
Drive from the village of Esnandes towards the coast via de Rue de l'Ocean. Here at Pointe St-Clement starts the Landfront the Germans made to protect the Festung La Rochelle for attacks over land.
They used, if available natural obstacles in the landscape like rivers, waterways, ridges, railroads a.o.
In this area they also made several tank ditches and road barriers to close open spaces in their Landfront.

Types:
1x 501 Group bunker.
1x 612 Embrasured emplacement for assault guns without annex room.

Esnandes, les Sartieres

This is a Landfront location.
At the Westside of the village of Esnandes, lies the location "Wilhelm" along the Route de Villedoux .
We found 2x 51,5 but the also mentioned 621 was not found, due to too much bushes.

2x 515 Casemate for MG with forward apron.

This is a Landfront location.
Near the centre of the village of Esnandes, lies a bunker of type 630 at the same road as Ro 201 Rue de l'Ocean.
This bunker is damaged and re-used for other purposes and has lost more or less its beauty.

1x 630 Embrasured MG emplacement with armoured plating.
